TV News Giant Don Hewitt Dies At 86
National News -- cbsnews.com -- Don Hewitt, recognized as a father of modern television news and the creator of the medium's most successful broadcast, 60 Minutes, died of pancreatic cancer Wednesday. He was 86 and had homes in Manhattan and Bridgehampton, New York, where was with family at the time of death.

Comcast, Time Warner to combine cable partnerships
Areas Beyond -- Reuters -- Reuters Comcast Corp. (CMCSA) and Time Warner Inc. (TWX) said on Monday they agreed to combine their cable partnerships in Kansas City, Missouri, and Texas, and to allow either company to trigger a dissolution of the combined entity after two years.
