This afternoon it was pretty apparent that Roy Williams not going to continue to be the head coach for KU any longer. As first reported on many of the local stations Roy Williams held a brief news conference in which he appeared visibly upset, Williams waved good-bye to a few reporters and fans as he boarded a private jet that was waiting at Lawrence's municipal airport, which left at about 5 p.m. headed for Chapel Hill, N.C. Tonight at 9:05pm the official announcement came on local TV stations KCMI and WDAF that Roy Williams would be officially the head coach for North Carolina.
